Moon Collection

There’s something magical about Jennea Frischke Jewelry’s collection of moon-inspired pieces, consisting of reversible necklaces, earrings and rings that are designed to capture the beauty of nature. Metalsmith Jennea Frischke draws inspiration for this particular collection from the phases of the moon, seasonal moons (such as the harvest moon) and folklore about the moon. “I have found the moon to be very grounding and it has helped me a lot with my mental health and in my healing journey,” she says. Because the moon is not always visible, Frischke started making moons she could wear. The Moon Collection is made with sterling silver, gold-filled wire, sheet metal, liver of sulphur (a chemical compound used to create a patina on metal) and sometimes gemstones. The well-crafted pieces are each hand-fabricated using traditional metalsmithing techniques, and the collection features a mix of both obvious moons and abstract ones.
