Bijano Carbonated Greek Yogurt Smoothie

This hybrid drink-snack is a one-of-a kind product that surprised and delighted the judging panel. Bijano is a fizzy greek yogurt smoothie that’s a modern twist on a traditional Persian drink. Company founder Justin Kangarloo came up with his fizzy beverage by experimenting with his SodaStream and, unlike the yogurt and carbonated-water blends found in Asia, Iran and Turkey, his is entirely yogurt-based. The canned beverage comes in two flavours — raspberry and coconut — and along with the probiotic benefits of Greek yogurt, it’s packed with seven to eight grams of protein. Though many yogurt drinks are packaged for young children, Bijano appeals to all ages, from sleepy teenagers on their way to school to active individuals who need a quick protein boost.
