Indigenous Tea

Mother Earth Essentials infuses traditional Indigenous knowledge in its natural teas. Owner Carrie Armstrong learned about plants from her grandmother and mother, and wanted to showcase that knowledge and culture passed down from her ancestors. She started Mother Earth Essentials for more Indigenous representation on store shelves with a line of teas, bath and beauty wellness products. Four Indigenous tea blends are available in tea bag pouches with two tea bags or boxes containing 15 tea bags. Choose from Balance, which uses raspberry leaf, sage and rose for balancing hormones; Comfort, a blend of mint, willow and muskeg to help with inflammatory muscle pain; Restore, a delicious fruity tea made from a berry blend; and Dream, made with mint, chamomile and lavender for a calming blend.
